Reporters recently learned from the Anhui Provincial Tax Service that sales revenue of science and technology‑innovation‑related industries in the province has maintained steady growth, showing an overall development momentum of improved quality, accelerated growth and higher efficiency. Value‑added tax (VAT) invoice data show that from January to July this year, sales revenue of the province’s high‑tech manufacturing rose by 113.2% year‑on‑year, serving as a major driver of industrial growth.
Looking at sub‑sectors of high‑tech manufacturing, sales revenue of electronic device manufacturing surged 170.5% year‑on‑year; that of electronic components and special‑purpose electronic materials manufacturing jumped 305.4%; and optical instrument manufacturing saw a 233.2% year‑on‑year increase. R&D and application of future‑oriented industries such as quantum information are expanding at a faster pace, pushing sales revenue of electronic communications equipment manufacturing and information‑security equipment manufacturing up by 140.7% and 61.2% year‑on‑year respectively.
VAT invoice data indicate that in the first seven months of this year, sales revenue of the province’s digital‑economy industries grew by 35.1% year‑on‑year. Among them, digital‑product manufacturing and digital‑product services linked to the integration of digital and real economies rose by 104.1% and 5.7% year‑on‑year respectively. This demonstrates deepening integration between digital technologies and the real economy, with coordinated progress in both digital industrialization and industrial digitalization. Meanwhile, the supply capacity of digital‑enabled production services keeps improving: sales revenue of internet security services rose 8.7% year‑on‑year; information system integration services climbed 43.9%; and information processing and storage support services increased by 22.6%. New technologies including artificial intelligence and big data are gaining rapid popularity, driving a 6.9% year‑on‑year rise in software development sales revenue and a 15.3% increase in integrated‑circuit design sales revenue.
In addition, VAT invoice data show that sales revenue of intellectual‑property services across the province increased by 6% year‑on‑year from January to July, pointing to the growing maturity of the full‑chain services covering scientific‑and‑technological achievement evaluation, intellectual‑property protection and industrial transformation. Sales revenue of intellectual‑property‑intensive industries with high technological content grew by 33.6% year‑on‑year, highlighting the supporting role of high‑value patents in industrial upgrading. Furthermore, advanced‑manufacturing clusters led by patent technologies are emerging at an accelerated pace. Sales revenue of information‑and‑communications‑technology manufacturing rose by 180.2% year‑on‑year, and the pipeline for transferring scientific and technological elements from R&D services to real‑world industries has become smoother and more efficient.
