This time, I had a rather special travel companion in Milan — a fish lantern from Huangshan, Anhui.
From the Duomo to the National Day reception hosted by the Chinese Consulate General in Milan, it met new faces along the way — and brought out one cheerful greeting after another: “Ciao, Anhui!” One lantern, one hello, and one bright encounter across continents. When Anhui meets Italy, friendship can be as simple — and as joyful — as a shared smile.
