On the evening of September 27, the 48th WorldSkills Competition concluded in Shanghai. Seven contestants from Anhui took part in six competition events. Ultimately, skilled competitors from Anhui secured four gold medals, one silver medal and one Medal for Excellence for the Chinese delegation, marking a historic leap forward.
Among them, Yang Zhaoxi from Huangshan University won the gold medal in Painting and Decoration. Yang Xiaojian from Anhui New East Advanced Technical School of Cuisine took the gold medal in Cooking (Western Cuisine). Wang Tianxiang from Anhui New East Advanced Technical School of Cuisine claimed the gold medal in Confectionery‑Pastry Making. Sun Guotai from State‑run Wuhu Machinery Factory of Wuhu City, Anhui Province earned the gold medal in Aircraft Maintenance. Nie Zhu and Cai Run from Huangshan University obtained the silver medal in Horticulture. Cheng Xiang from Maanshan Technical College received a Medal for Excellence in Additive Manufacturing.
At the 47th WorldSkills Competition held in Lyon in 2024, three Anhui contestants shone on the arena in France, winning two gold medals and one bronze medal for Team China.
