Recently, the economic performance of Anhui Province from January to November has been released. The Provincial Bureau of Statistics pointed out that in the first 11 months of this year, the province's industry and foreign trade maintained rapid growth, with supply and demand structures in certain sectors optimized. The economic performance continued its trend of overall stability and steady progress.
The foundation of "stability" is being reinforced, and the momentum of "progress" is strengthening, with the vitality and resilience of economic development consistently demonstrated.
Whether at the MAEXTRO Super Factory in Feixi County or at the Chery Automobile manufacturing workshop in Wuhu City, what catches the eye first is not the traditional image of a production line with sparks flying and bustling crowds but rather an almost silent dance of precision.
Industrial robots extend their mechanical arms, moving accurately along preset trajectories. They either grasp vehicle body components for seamless welding or apply adhesive and perform assembly tasks with millimeter-level precision.
These intelligent and automated production scenes are a vivid reflection of Anhui's automotive industry advancing toward innovation and intelligence.
"Currently, the innovation momentum in Anhui's automotive industry is accelerating, and the outcomes of technological transformation are remarkably effective, significantly enhancing the competitiveness of the sector," said a relevant official from the provincial automotive department.
Intelligent transformation has elevated the industrial capacity and serves as a strong foundation for breakthroughs in production. From January to November this year, Anhui produced 3.335 million vehicles, including 1.635 million new energy vehicles, ranking first in the country in both categories.
Digital transformation in manufacturing is no longer an "optional choice" for enterprises but a "mandatory course" critical to long-term development. The province regards digital transformation as a key driver for advancing new industrialization and fostering new quality productive forces. All enterprises above designated size in the province have initiated digital transformation efforts.
The trend toward innovation and intelligence in the industry has significantly propelled the overall leap of the province's industrial economy. In the first 11 months, industrial production in the province showed steady growth, with the equipment manufacturing and high-tech manufacturing sectors demonstrating strong momentum. Notably, in the first 11 months, the added value of the province's electronic information industry increased by 37.9%, surpassing the national average by 27.5 percentage points. The production of laptops and liquid crystal display modules rose by 25.4% and 100%, respectively.
By aligning the industrial chain with the innovation chain and deploying the innovation chain around the industrial chain, our province promotes the aggregation of advanced production factors and resources toward the development of new quality productive forces. This drives stronger innovation momentum, pooling powerful synergies for high-quality development.
Our province leverages the leading role of these enterprises to establish the Anhui International Economic and Trade Cooperation Alliance, with specialized committees in automotive, photovoltaic and energy storage, international contracting, and comprehensive services, encouraging enterprises to "go global collectively." To date, a series of international matchmaking events such as "Engineering +" and "Finance +" have been held. Themed activities like the ASEAN-focused collective global expansion session and the Anhui Business Global Linkage Conference have attracted participation from thousands of enterprises, significantly enhancing the organization and convenience of their global expansion efforts.
While increasing overseas investment, Anhui has also delivered an impressive performance in foreign trade. From January to November this year, the province's total import and export of goods reached 901.57 billion yuan, marking a year-on-year increase of 15.3%.
Batches of "Made in Anhui" products are transcending geographical boundaries and taking root across continents. Leveraging the increasingly robust and systematic advantages of supply and industrial chains, they are deeply integrating into the global market. Through continuous international trade and competition, they are steadily writing a vivid chapter in "building advanced manufacturing clusters with international competitiveness."
