Reporters learned from Wuhu Customs that from January to August this year, Wuhu exported 1.0958 million motor vehicles (including chassis). This marks the first time Wuhu's annual auto exports have exceeded one million units, with a total value of 111.306 billion yuan. Both volume and value rose 1.1‑fold year‑on‑year, hitting all‑time highs.

In 2024, Wuhu exported 718,300 vehicles, and the figure stood at 975,400 in 2025. In the first eight months of this year, exports have already topped one million units.

Today, one out of every seven cars exported nationwide is "Made‑in‑Wuhu". The year‑on‑year growth in export volumes reflects the overall leap forward of Wuhu's automotive industry. In recent years, Wuhu's full automotive industrial chain has seen explosive export growth. There are 1,245 above‑scale enterprises in the automotive industrial chain, covering complete‑vehicle manufacturers, component suppliers and aftermarket businesses. A development pattern of "leading enterprises‑industrial chains‑industrial clusters" has taken shape.

Besides, the share of NEVs in total automobile exports keeps surging. In the first eight months, Wuhu's electric vehicle exports reached 64.414 billion yuan, surging 2.3‑fold year‑on‑year and accounting for nearly 60% of Wuhu's total auto export value. High‑value‑added, high‑tech "Made‑in‑Wuhu" automobiles are accelerating their march across the globe.
