Anhui's Stunning Showcase of All-for-One Tourism Development
According to statistics, from May 14th to July 25th, Anhui's Cultural and Tourism Consumption Promotion Season featured 3,932 themed activities. Multiple locations across the province collaborated on a series of "Beautiful Summer in Anhui" cultural and tourism events. Characterized by diverse integration, these initiatives linked together intangible cultural heritage experiences, sporting competitions, food carnivals, cultural performances, and other colorful activities, creating a summer feast of culture and tourism where "every region has its highlights and every week offers exciting new experiences."
Anhui is further promoting the integrated development of culture and tourism, advancing all-for-one tourism, aiming to establish the cultural and tourism industry as a pillar sector.
In recent years, our province has successively established five National All-for-One Tourism Demonstration Areas: Yixian County, Huoshan County, Tunxi District of Huangshan City, Qianshan City, and Jinzhai County. Additionally, 24 Anhui Provincial All-for-One Tourism Demonstration Areas have been created, including Shexian County and Qingyang County. This year, with the goal of becoming a national pioneer zone for all-for-one tourism development, the province will drive coordinated efforts among regions, promote regional synergy, and encourage diverse business formats. It aims to build a new pattern for all-for-one tourism development—the "One Zone, Three Circles, Four Belts." These are defined as follows: the Southern Anhui International Cultural Tourism Demonstration Zone; the Hefei Metropolitan Science & Innovation Cultural Leisure Tourism Circle; the Dabie Mountain Red (Revolutionary Heritage) & Green (Natural Landscape) Fusion Cultural Tourism Circle; the Northern Anhui Culture and Tourism Integration Development Circle; and the Cultural Tourism Belts along the Yangtze River, Huaihe River, Xin'an River, and Jianghuai Canal.
The supply of high-quality tourism products has increased, and diversified integrated business models are being updated at an accelerated pace, injecting new vitality into Jianghuai's cultural and tourism market and further stimulating consumption in this sector.
Last year, Langya Mountain was rated as a National 5A-level Scenic Area. In May this year, our province newly designated nine 4A-level scenic spots, bringing the total number to 225. Through customized renovation plans for each site ("one scenery, one plan"), efforts focus on enriching consumption scenarios and expanding comprehensive functions. Currently, there are already 691 nationally graded A-class tourist attractions across the province, including 13 at the 5A level, two national-level tourist resorts, seven national-level tourism and leisure streets, and 53 nationally designated key villages (or towns) for rural tourism. A series of these destinations—such as national-level tourism and leisure streets, key national rural tourism villages and towns, characteristic cultural tourism towns, and national industrial tourism demonstration bases—are bustling with crowds, becoming popular new choices among visitors.
New formats like rural tourism, study tours, tourism performances, nighttime tourism, and virtual cloud tours are thriving vigorously. Cooling-off tourism, industrial tourism, self-driving tours, and low-altitude flights are gaining momentum, while scenic drives such as the Southern Anhui Chuan Zang Line, Dabie Mountain Scenic Road, China Hongling Highway, and Anhui-Zhejiang Route No.1 see bustling traffic flows. It’s reported that our province has successively cultivated 40 summer resort destinations, developed 18 designated tourist scenic roads.
To develop all-for-one tourism, transformation is needed from "resource dependence" to "innovation drive," and from "isolated efforts" to "systematic coordination." Across Anhui, localities are implementing creative measures.
Last year, Anhui Province witnessed rapid growth in inbound tourism, with the number of international tourist arrivals and international tourism revenue increasing by 94.8% and 124.1%, respectively. The province will systematically launch international and regional air routes, enhance the global appeal of Anhui's cultural tourism through multi-tiered improvements, and develop premium international multi-destination travel packages to provide foreign visitors with more diverse cultural tourism options. To better serve international tourists, the province will establish comprehensive "one-stop" service centers at Hefei and Huangshan airports as well as high-speed rail stations, offering integrated services covering telecommunications, transportation, and cultural tourism.
