From June 30 to July 6, the 2025 “Research Tour on Vibrant China” Anhui-themed media event was successfully held. Journalists from central and local major media outlets split into two groups to conduct interviews and investigations at more than 20 locations across seven cities in Anhui, including Hefei, Chuzhou, Bengbu, Suzhou, Wuhu, Tongling, and Xuancheng.

“This is my first time in Hefei. Over these past few days of reporting, I have deeply felt the charm of ‘cutting-edge technology’ and ‘hard power’ on this land,” said Kong Dechen, a reporter from People’s Daily, after completing interviews in Hefei. Here not only is home to the world’s most advanced, highly automated and intelligent automobile manufacturing plants, but it has also drawn up a blueprint for future low-altitude economy travel. The Jianghuai region is bursting with innovation vitality.

“Anhui has achieved many accomplishments in recent years by leading the development of new quality productive forces with technological innovation and building a modern industrial system,” said Zhu Lixin, a reporter from China Daily who has long followed Anhui’s development. During this on-the-move coverage, he noted the presence of both whole vehicle manufacturers and auto parts companies. Hefei, as a representative base for new energy vehicles in Anhui, is expanding rapidly. “The bilingual video my colleagues and I produced became a trending topic on internet platforms, indicating the great interest of netizens in Hefei and Anhui’s development.”

Yang Yonglei, a reporter from Guangming Daily, was deeply impressed by Hefei’s strategic emerging industries. “Whether it’s JAC Motors, NIO, or Heyi Aviation, their independent innovation capabilities are truly astonishing.” He believes that autonomous driving, aerial pilotless vehicles, and advanced automobile production lines all exemplify Hefei’s powerful innovation capabilities, which are strong drivers of the city’s high-quality development.

Chen Wen, a reporter from China Development and Reform News, said the tour revealed Anhui’s forward-looking vision and strategic ambition in laying out future industries. “I will use diversified media formats such as text, images, audio, and video to produce more vivid and high-quality multimedia works that comprehensively showcase Anhui’s vitality in high-quality development.”
