The reporter learned from the Anhui Provincial Development and Reform Commission that, from January to August this year, Anhui attracted 7.97 billion yuan in foreign direct investment. The growth rate of Anhui's utilization of foreign capital has exceeded the national average for 21 consecutive months, with foreign direct investment in the manufacturing sector accounting for 56.3%. To date, over 5,000 foreign enterprises have established operations in Anhui, including 92 foreign companies from the Fortune Global 500 that have set up 192 enterprises in the province.

In terms of the status of foreign investment projects, up to now, there are currently 161 projects with a total investment of 30 million US dollars or more, amounting to a total investment of 40.37 billion US dollars. Of these, 74 projects have an investment of 100 million US dollars or more, totaling 36.06 billion US dollars, which represent 46% and 89.3% of key projects, respectively. In terms of industry, the number of projects in the new energy vehicles and intelligent connected vehicles sector, the next-generation information technology sector, the new energy and energy-saving environmental protection sector, and high-end equipment manufacturing sector are 33, 19, 16, and 15, accounting for 20.5%, 11.8%, 9.9%, and 9.3% of key projects, respectively.

Moving forward, Anhui province will innovate the channels and methods for utilizing foreign investment, take advantage of the policy window for foreign investment access, and further optimize various foreign-related services.
