The sound of gongs and drums thundered through the air, as one by one, massive lanterns in the shape of fish made their way across bridges, meandering through the ancient village nestled by mountains and rivers... On February 24th, the fifteenth day of the first lunar month, the Lantern Festival was celebrated with full fervor. In Wangmantian Village, Xitou Town, Lidong Township, Shexian County, located in the city of Huangshan, Anhui Province, villagers young and old spared no effort in presenting a spectacular Fish Lantern Festival that revealed the romance and wonder hidden deep within the mountains.

It is understood that the Wangmantian Fish Lantern Festival is a traditional folk activity that has been passed down for over 600 years and is one of the most enduring and well-preserved traditional customs in the Huizhou region. Despite the village's secluded location deep in the mountains, this traditional lantern festival has drawn countless visitors from afar.
