New International Commercial Arbitration Center established in Hefei High-tech Zone
Recently, the unveiling ceremony of the International Commercial Arbitration Center of the Hefei Arbitration Commission was successfully held in the Hefei High-tech Zone.
Through a professional and internationalized public legal service model, the center aims to create a new "one-stop" platform for international commercial dispute resolution which solves such disputes on clients' doorsteps and provides high-quality and convenient arbitration services for domestic and foreign companies within the pilot free trade zone.
The China (Anhui) Pilot Free Trade Zone Hefei Area (Anhui FTZ) was officially established on September 24, 2020. The Hefei Area covers a total area of 64.95 square kilometers, focusing on the development of high-end manufacturing, integrated circuits, artificial intelligence, new displays, quantum information, sci-tech finance, cross-border e-commerce, and other industries. It aims to create a comprehensive leading national scientific and industrial innovation center with global influence.
As an essential part of the Anhui FTZ, the Hefei High-tech Zone sub-area has made preliminary progress in its development by exploring new possibilities and taking bold initiatives since its establishment over two years ago. Its image as a "Science, Technology, and Innovation-centered Free Trade Zone Area" has taken shape. It is also noteworthy that it has carried out a series of explorations and trials in the construction of the public legal service system and the legal business environment in collaboration with relevant government departments. The establishment of the International Commercial Arbitration Center of the Hefei Arbitration Commission in Hefei High-tech Zone marks another achievement in its innovative efforts to promote the public legal service system.
