On May 17, the “Mountains, Waters and Culture of Ancient Huizhou — International Insights into Ever-renewing Huangshan” International Youth Camp for Huizhou Culture Exploration visited Qiankou Folk Houses in Huizhou District. More than 100 international students from countries including Pakistan, Russia, and South Korea wandered through the historic white-walled, black-tiled residences, listening to stories of Huizhou’s rich history and culture. They also took a close look at the exquisite craftsmanship of the famous Huizhou wood, brick, and stone carvings, while experiencing the unique beauty and architectural wisdom of ancient Huizhou buildings firsthand.Through the visit, the students deepened their understanding of traditional Chinese culture and enjoyed meaningful cultural exchange along the way.
