On April 2, the 28th Huangshan Tourism Festival opened at the Tangmo Scenic Area in Huizhou District, Huangshan City. Co-hosted by the Huangshan Municipal People's Government and the Anhui Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, the festival carries the theme "Enjoy the Magnificent Huangshan in Spring · Seek the Lively Millennia-Old Huizhou." Unlike previous editions, which were mostly held in autumn and winter, this year's festival has been moved to spring for the first time.
During the festival, various districts, counties, and key cultural tourism enterprises in Huangshan will roll out six spring experiential activities centered around the "spring break economy" — namely "Seeking Spring," "Chasing Spring," "Taste Spring," "Awakening Spring," "Exploring Spring," and "Playing Spring." These activities span flower viewing, self-driving tours, cuisine, tea tourism, intangible cultural heritage, and trendy entertainment. Specific events include: the "Flower Field Melody · Blessed Leisure in Xiuning" rapeseed flower music season, the self-driving spring tour along the Huizhou Tianlu and across Anhui-Zhejiang, the "Furong Spring · Taiping Banquet" live-action food garden party, and the "Spring Fun Carnival" at Changyuan International Art Village. In addition, four major themed events — "Explore Huizhou through Films," "Sing Huangshan with Songs," "Travel Huangshan through the Lens," and "Tour Huangshan with Textbooks" — will be launched. Through themed routes, annual concert series, photo contests, and study tour passports, these initiatives aim to transform static cultural displays into dynamic, experiential, and shareable cultural tourism products, offering visitors a diverse spring experience.
