【AICC Original Article】Members of the CPPCC National Committee residing in Anhui return to Hefei

On the evening of March 11, the members of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) residing in Anhui who had gone to Beijing to attend the 4th Session of the 14th CPPCC National Committee returned to Hefei after successfully completing all items on the session’s agenda.

During the 4th Session of the 14th CPPCC National Committee, the members residing in Anhui thoroughly discussed the government work report, the draft outline of the 15th Five‑Year Plan, and other reports; they carefully reviewed the CPPCC Standing Committee’s work report and the report on proposals, among other documents. Fulfilling their duties with a strong sense of responsibility and mission, they achieved substantial results. During the session the Anhui delegates submitted 75 proposals to the plenary, of which 69 were filed for follow‑up; they submitted 6 plenary speaking manuscripts and made 86 speeches in group (joint‑group) meetings and sector consultations.

The delegates unanimously stated that the 15th Five‑Year period is a critical stage for laying a solid foundation and making comprehensive efforts to basically achieve socialist modernization. From a national perspective and with a focus on Anhui, they will center their work on key issues such as high‑quality development, scientific and technological innovation, social governance, and livelihood protection—conducting in‑depth research, actively offering policy recommendations, and carrying out democratic supervision—to widely consolidate public support, consensus, wisdom, and strength for advancing Chinese modernization.
