December 3–5, the 2025 (8th) Mobile Robotics Industry Development Annual Conference and the Embodied Intelligent Mobility and Humanoid Robotics Integration Summit are being held in Hefei.

On the first day, more than 1,000 attendees from over 700 companies within and outside the alliance gathered to discuss the current state of the mobile robotics industry and future development pathways. During the event, Zhang Lei, chairman of the Mobile Robotics Industry Alliance, told our reporter, "Hefei's robotics industry has unique insight and promising potential!"

The mobile robotics sector is currently at a critical juncture of accelerated technological iteration, expanding application scenarios, and global market development, while also facing challenges such as the global economic downturn and cyclical fluctuations in downstream industries.

Against this backdrop, "reshaping the industry's ecological niche" emerged as a consensus topic at this year's conference. The event also released "A Decade, A New Start: Cyclical Reflections on China's Mobile Robotics and a Ten-Year Yearbook," which systematically reviews the industry's development over the past decade and its core achievements, providing important guidance for future development.

As one of the conference's highlights, the Humanoid Robotics High-Quality Supply Chain Exhibition became an important platform for companies to connect and form partnerships.

Li Han, Product Manager at Nanjing Xiaowei Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd., showcased the company's core product—an embedded motherboard that provides a "brain" for AGV robots. The CM3588 core board can be widely applied in edge computing, industrial control, power storage, robotics, and intelligent security. "Hefei has a strong robotics industry atmosphere; we hope to leverage this exhibition to establish deep collaborations with local companies," Li said.

Hangzhou Planetary Transmission Equipment Co., Ltd., from the Yangtze River Delta, also brought its "hardcore" products. Technical engineer Feng Yongkang introduced nearly 20 newly developed items across two main categories: AGV drive reducers and joint module reducers for humanoid robots. "Hefei, as an emerging robotics hub, shows a significant agglomeration effect. Participating in a national-level professional conference like this is extremely valuable for expanding our partners and enhancing our company's influence," he said.

Looking ahead to technological breakthroughs over the next five years, Zhang Lei shared his prediction: the mature application of embodied intelligence technologies and the spillover empowerment of humanoid robotics' core technologies into the mobile robotics field will be key drivers of industry transformation.

"Currently, mobile robots are mostly concentrated in fixed industrial scenarios; in the future they will be deeply integrated into life and service domains," Zhang said. He added that future mobile robots will become "collaborative partners" to humans rather than simple "replacements." Their forms may not necessarily be humanoid, but they will better match scenario requirements and integrate into human life in a comprehensive way.

On Hefei's robotics industry development, Zhang offered high praise: "Hefei has keen insight into emerging industries and early on laid out strategic plans for cutting-edge sectors such as new energy vehicles and robotics, demonstrating unique strategic vision." He said this forward-looking layout for next-generation advanced industries will place Hefei in a leading position in future industrial competition. "As the industrial ecosystem continues to improve, Hefei is expected to become an important growth pole for the domestic and even global robotics industry."
