【AICC Original Article】Chinese Team Breaks International Record in Post-Quantum Cryptography
On August 18, the reporter learned from China Telecom Quantum Group that its PQC Research Institute, in collaboration with Shanghai Jiao Tong University and East China Normal University, has successfully solved two challenge instances consecutively in the international LWE Challenge, breaking the relevant international record.
With the advancement of quantum computing technology, traditional cryptography systems face new security challenges. Post-Quantum Cryptography, also known as Quantum-Resistant Cryptography or Quantum-Safe Cryptography, capable of resisting quantum computing attacks, is emerging as a key direction in global cryptography research.
The LWE Challenge is a highly credible international platform for lattice problem-solving challenges. Operating continuously since 2008, it tests the practical solvability of relevant cryptographic problems by setting public instances at varying difficulty levels. The first result to achieve the optimal solution under given parameters and pass verification will be entered into the official records.
To date, China Telecom Quantum Group has independently developed a commercial cryptography product system covering seven major categories, including cryptographic algorithms, data encryption, and key management, with over 50 products having obtained commercial cryptography product model certification.
