【AICC Original Article】Jianghuai Advanced Technology Center Drives Embodied AI Industry Development in Anhui Through Multi-Pronged Innovation Efforts
The Jianghuai Advanced Technology Center (Jianghuai Laboratory) is stepping up efforts to advance Anhui's embodied AI industry through innovation competitions, research platforms, academic exchanges and enterprise incubation. Aligned with Anhui's development plan for the robotics and embodied AI industries during the 15th Five-Year Plan period, the laboratory focuses on three key areas—embodied AI, unmanned systems and intelligent evaluation—while helping strengthen the province's innovation ecosystem and support the high-quality development of related industries.
To foster innovation, the laboratory hosted China's first nationwide competition for embodied unmanned systems, covering air, land and water application scenarios and attracting more than 100 researchers from 23 organizations. It also organized the Jianghuai Qizhi Embodied AI Conference, promoting exchanges on embodied AI, human-machine collaboration and other cutting-edge technologies while facilitating collaboration between researchers and industry to accelerate the commercialization of scientific achievements.
The Jianghuai Laboratory has officially been inaugurated, integrating research equipment, scientific teams and other key innovation resources into a comprehensive platform covering basic research, applied technology development, testing and validation, and standards development. The platform is expected to lay a solid foundation for the future establishment of a national laboratory.
Academic support has also been strengthened. The laboratory has launched the first Jianghuai Frontier Technology Lecture Series and will regularly invite leading experts to share the latest research advances. It has also initiated the establishment of an Academic Dean system and an Expert Committee, bringing together top-level specialists to provide strategic advice on scientific research and industrial development.
The laboratory has continued to improve its commercialization and incubation system. It has incubated four new technology companies, including Anhui Medical Intelligence and Hefei Cross-Domain Zhihang, focusing on emerging sectors such as medical robotics and autonomous unmanned systems. It is also helping incubated companies connect with capital markets. Tuojing Zhixing is seeking 10 million yuan in its first financing round at a valuation of 150 million yuan, while SINXBOT has completed two financing rounds totaling 40 million yuan and is now seeking 70 million yuan in a third round, with its valuation reaching 700 million yuan.
