Recently, the 2025 National General Artificial Intelligence Innovation Application Competition—"AI + Cultural Tourism" Special Track was held in Shexian County. On-site, 20 participating teams showcased innovative applications of AI technology in cultural and tourism scenarios, centered around the theme "Intelligent Innovation Empowering All Industries." 

This marks the third consecutive year that this national competition in the field of artificial intelligence has been held in Anhui. The establishment of specialized tracks in the competition incorporates local industrial characteristics and development needs, enabling artificial intelligence to genuinely empower industrial transformation and upgrading, thereby contributing to local economic and social development.

The proposal for the 15th Five-Year Plan suggests comprehensively implementing the "AI +" initiative, leveraging artificial intelligence to drive paradigm shifts in scientific research, and strengthening the integration of AI with industrial development, cultural advancement, people's livelihood security, and social governance. The aim is to seize the commanding heights of AI industrial applications and empower all sectors and industries comprehensively.

Seizing the opportunity and planning ahead in the artificial intelligence sector, Anhui has rapidly developed its foundational capabilities and industrial scale, laying a solid groundwork for advancing the "AI+" initiative. In the first half of 2025, AI-related enterprises above the designated size in the province achieved revenues of 106.99 billion yuan, attracting 917 AI-related projects for implementation. Both iFLYTEK and HiDream.ai were ranked among the top 50 AI companies in Forbes China's list. Additionally, the intelligent voice cluster was selected as one of the first national advanced manufacturing clusters.

Fostering application through innovation and driving innovation with application, Anhui has launched AI scenario innovation projects, establishing exemplary scenarios in key specialized sectors and creating AI application bases for scientific research. These efforts aim to develop a series of demonstration benchmarks in key areas of "AI+." 

Currently, Anhui is continuously advancing the "AI+" initiative, focusing on implementing four major special actions: strengthening foundational capabilities, promoting integrated applications, building an ecosystem, and ensuring security. The province has set the goal that by 2027, significant progress will be made in AI foundational capacity building, application penetration will be greatly enhanced, the industrial ecosystem will be largely formed, and integrated applications will gather momentum. General-purpose large models are expected to rank among the top nationwide, with high-quality industry data exceeding 30 petabytes and intelligent computing power surpassing 30,000 petaflops. AI will accelerate its penetration into the real economy and social services, becoming a crucial means to lead industrial quality improvement, cost reduction, efficiency enhancement, and to deliver more accessible, equitable, and efficient social services. By 2030, AI will be deeply integrated with economic and social development, serving as a vital engine for accelerating the cultivation and development of new quality productive forces.

A relevant official from the Provincial Department of Science and Technology stated that for the 15th Five-Year Plan period, Anhui will seize the opportunity presented by the "AI+Everything" industry trend, accelerate the construction of the AI Material Creation Center, promote the transformation of the "AI for Science" research paradigm, and empower industries across all sectors with technologies like large models and AI.
