Anhui Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology has recently released the list of Anhui Provincial Green Factories for 2026. A total of 231 enterprises across the province have been accredited, including 22 from Hefei such as Hefei Nexchip, Hefei Haier Air Conditioner Co., Ltd., and Hefei Gotion Battery Technology Co., Ltd. According to Hefei Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, Hefei now boasts 123 provincial-level green factories and 57 national-level green factories. The green manufacturing ecosystem continues to expand, marking solid progress in the city’s industrial green transition.

A green factory refers to an enterprise that achieves low-carbon energy use, efficient resource utilization, clean production, eco-friendly products and intensive land use. It serves as the core implementation unit of green manufacturing. The newly selected enterprises cover industries including integrated circuits, new energy, advanced materials, smart home appliances and electronic information, all reaching advanced industry standards in the five dimensions above.
