July 17 marked the opening of the 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC) in Shanghai. Anhui GeniTech Co., Ltd., a chip subsidiary under NIO, took part in the exhibition independently for the first time, showcasing its latest advances in the field of AI computing power. Aside from its flagship GeniTech NX9031 chip and vehicle domain controller on display, GeniTech also held a major launch of new AI products at the event, including the "Ruidong" Embodied Intelligence Development Platform and a Distributed Agent Platform.
Headquartered in Hefei, GeniTech is a high-computing chip enterprise focusing on full-scenario applications of autonomous driving, embodied intelligence and Agent reasoning. It strives to develop world-leading chips and solutions for the AGI era. Founded in June 2025, the firm has quickly gained recognition from capital markets, securing nearly RMB 3 billion in cumulative financing.
To date, GeniTech has built a comprehensive product portfolio consisting of chips including the NX9031X, NX9031U and NX9031C, covering three cutting-edge AI tracks: intelligent assisted driving, embodied intelligence and Agent reasoning. In emerging application areas such as embodied intelligence and Agent reasoning, the NX9031 series stands out as a rare domestic high-performance chip option on the market, backed by robust computing power and verified mass production capacity.
The high-end NX9031X chip serves intelligent assisted driving and has been deployed across all vehicle models of the NIO and ONVO brands, with cumulative shipments exceeding 300,000 units. The newly launched "Ruidong" Embodied Intelligence Development Platform is equipped with the mid-range NX9031U chip built on a 5nm automotive-grade process. Specially engineered as the "brain" for robots, it smoothly runs sophisticated perception and autonomous planning models, delivering high-performance and highly reliable computing support for robots.
A representative of GeniTech stated that going forward, the company will leverage its technological strengths and safety expertise accumulated in intelligent assisted driving to realize cross-industry reuse of core capabilities. Mature technologies including automotive perception, real-time control and functional safety will be migrated to AI scenarios such as humanoid robots, autonomous logistics vehicles and high-computing edge terminals, facilitating independent development and commercial rollout of the high-end smart chip industry.
