【AICC Original Article】Creating New Forms of Intelligent Economy to Empower Leaps Forward in All Industries
The intelligent economy is a new economic form driven by artificial intelligence as its core engine. It will reshape the entire process of production, distribution, exchange, and consumption, while comprehensively empowering both traditional and emerging industries.
How can we deepen and expand the "AI Plus" initiative, promote the large-scale commercial application of artificial intelligence in key industries, foster new AI-native business models and formats, improve foundational systems for data elements, and refine AI governance?
The goal of deepening and expanding "AI Plus" is to accelerate the widespread adoption of next-generation smart terminals and intelligent agents, promote the commercial large-scale application of AI in key industries, and cultivate new AI-native business models and formats.
Currently, "AI Plus" is rapidly integrating into production and daily life. Building a new intelligent economy means seizing the opportunities presented by AI development and expanding the breadth and depth of AI empowerment across all industries.
In the traditional Chinese medicine industry, artificial intelligence is injecting new momentum into its development.
AI-powered diagnosis leverages big data and TCM diagnostic logic to rapidly collect patient symptoms, tongue images, pulse conditions, and other information, generating preliminary diagnostic recommendations that are then reviewed and confirmed by professional physicians. This model not only effectively reduces waiting times for patients seeking medical care but also alleviates the consultation pressure on primary care physicians to a certain extent.
The large-scale application of "AI Plus" relies on computing power that is both affordable and sustainable. Currently, eastern China has high demand for computing power but faces expensive electricity costs, while the western regions is rich in green power resources yet struggles with curtailment of wind and solar energy.
"Implementing ultra-large-scale intelligent computing clusters and computing-electricity synergy projects is key to breaking through current development bottlenecks and seizing the high ground in the intelligent economy." Peng Shou, a deputy to the National People's Congress, suggested strengthening national top-level design by establishing a linkage mechanism between "eastern data and western computing" and computing-electricity synergy. At the national hub node level, a dual planning mechanism for "computing + electricity" should be pioneered, achieving simultaneous planning for data center construction, renewable energy bases, and power grids. On this basis, explore joint pricing and trading mechanisms for "computing power + green electricity," establish direct supply trading channels for renewable energy participation in computing center power supply, and support computing enterprises in signing long-term green power purchase agreements with wind and solar power companies, enabling computing power using green electricity to gain a premium in the market.
A thriving ecosystem cannot be separated from sound governance safeguards. Adhering to a people-centered approach and ensuring that AI benefits humanity will enable the intelligent economy to develop steadily and sustainably.
