On December 16-17, the 2025 Anhui Intelligent Connected New Energy Vehicle Industry Chain Supply and Demand Matchmaking Conference was successfully held in Tongling City. During the event, relevant local governments signed project implementation agreements with automotive industry investors, with a total investment of 3.03 billion yuan. This was followed by the signing of agreements for industrial chain cooperation, talent chain cooperation, innovation chain cooperation, and financial chain cooperation, with a total contract value of 554 million yuan.

Since the 14th Five-Year Plan period, Anhui's automotive industry has experienced a remarkable rise, with its industrial scale continuously expanding, its industry status steadily improving, and its development quality and efficiency consistently enhancing. Competitive advantages have become increasingly prominent. Vehicle and new energy vehicle production volumes have grown by 2 times and 15 times, respectively, while the revenue of enterprises above designated size in the automotive manufacturing sector has increased by 1.8 times. The sector's average annual contribution to the growth of industrial enterprises above designated size reached 19.8%, ranking first among the 41 major industrial categories. In October, monthly revenue exceeded 100 billion yuan for the first time, with new energy vehicles accounting for over 60% of the total. This has made a significant contribution to the province's economic growth and stands as a successful example of integrated and clustered development in emerging industries. During the 15th Five-Year Plan period, we must maintain strategic clarity, seize opportunities, confront challenges head-on, adhere to innovation-driven development, strengthen forward-looking planning, and promote a historic leap for Anhui's automotive industry from "scale expansion" to "quality and efficiency enhancement" through more open-minded thinking and pragmatic actions. 

Tongling thrives on copper and was established as a city around mining. It is China's most comprehensive copper deep-processing industrial base, boasting the widest variety of products, the most complete industrial chain, and a well-developed supporting system in the copper processing sector. In recent years, through careful cultivation and strategic planning, Tongling's new energy vehicle industry has developed both scale and distinctive features. The city is now home to 74 new energy vehicle component enterprises above designated size. From January to November 2025, these enterprises achieved an output value of 13.07 billion yuan, with a year-on-year growth rate of 24.5%, demonstrating strong momentum for development. With a more open attitude, a more favorable environment, and more efficient services, Tongling is committed to advancing side by side with all partners, striving together to write a new chapter of integrated industrial chains and shared success.
